Ecology of Honey Bee ParasitesI'm currently pursuing a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at CU Boulder! My work focuses on understanding emerging host-parasite dynamics using the European honey bee (Apis mellifera) and the ubiquitous, pesky mite Varroa destructor. By understanding parasite ecology, I hope to contribute to the development of novel agricultural parasite treatment protocols and create wholistic practices for ecosystem management.
